Previously she has been in Finland in 1999.

October 26, 2009Stora Enso, pulp and paper manufacturer, will sell its industrial paper factory property in Summa to Google. Kay Oberbeck from Google tells that Google is planning to make data center there to host Google servers. Currently Google has only advertisement sales office in Finland.
According to Stora Enso, sales value is about 40 000 000 euro. The deal should be finalized by the end of March. Paper manufacturing ended in January 2008 in Summa, Hamina.

Event organizer Live Nation has rented Jätkäsaari location from Helsinki city. This outdoors location fits about 80 000 people.
Tickets will be for on Monday 9th at 09:00 AM local time. Lippupiste has more or less same info as Live Nation about tickets.
This is ”Sticky & Sweet 2009″ tour including now countries where Madonna has never performed before.

January 26, 2009Tina Turner will be in Helsinki Hartwall Arena 23rd and 24th of April. Tickets will be available Monday next week, 2nd of February at lippu.fi. Previous visit to Finland was year 2000 Twenty Four Seven tour.

January 21, 2009Laura Pausini will be in Tampere 17th May, 18th in Turku and 20th in Helsinki.

WinCapita News
January 21, 2009Today in news we have confirmation that WinCapita was total scam and there was never done any real trading. Finnish police informs that Hannu Kailajärvi has told this information in pre-trial investigation. He has also explained how trading software showed events only on screen, but nothing really happened. All funds and transactions were only between WinCapita and its members. In other words, money collected from new members went to senior members.

Bruce Springsteen in Tampere
January 20, 2009Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be in Finland this summer. The concert will be 2nd of June in Tampere Ratina Stadion.
Previously Springsteen has been in Finland only few times. In 2003 he performed in Helsinki twice to full stadium.

January 9, 2009The Christmas movie Niko & The Way to the Stars (Niko – Lentäjän poika) has become one of Finland’s most successful cinema exports of all time. The 6.1 million euro computer animation was produced in co-operation with Irish, Danish and German partners. At the end of 2008, it was the most-watched film in seven countries, including Finland.

Directa Oy
January 8, 2009Directa has been in news few times last year. Mainly small business owners are quite angry at Directa. They feel that Directa is cheating and selling so called directory services by phone, but price and delivered products are not what have been promised. People think that they agreed to pay 49 euro annual fee, but Directa sends them 10 times bigger bills, over 400 euros.
MTV3 TV channel had Directa in its news several times. Finnish police is currently investigating few hundred requests from angry Directa clients.
Huijaa.info web site was established by several business people so that Directa clients could have place to discuss issues they have with this company. Several other forums or blogs were censored before this happened. Web blog Lehmätkin lentäis (cows could fly) did not censor its comments (at this moment over 500 of them) even when attorney hired by Directa called the blogger.
Several Finnish blogs follow Directa case and have many posts about it. Huijaus blog and Pate Ylinen have both several items about Directa.
Directa Oy was established in 1999. Company provides contact information and directory services. MTV3 reported also about issues they found from past actions done by Directa managers and owners. Managing director Ville Komppa and sales manager both have been involved in charity organizations, but it seems to difficult to find financial information and where the raised charity founds went.
